Child Safety Standards

FullBoard helps tabletop trading card game players find and join games at local game stores. Because the app arranges in-person meetings, child safety is not a formality here. This page sets out our standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), how to report a concern, and what happens when one reaches us.

1. Our standard

Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and any form of child sexual abuse or exploitation are absolutely prohibited on FullBoard. This covers every surface of the app — profiles, photos, tables, comments, community posts, and direct messages — and applies whether content is public or private.

It covers conduct as well as content: grooming, sexualised interaction with a minor, soliciting sexual material from a minor, and using the app to arrange contact with a minor for any of those purposes. There is no warning and no second chance in this category. Accounts are removed.

2. Minimum age

You must be at least 13 years old to create a FullBoard account, as stated in our Terms of Service. Every account acknowledges this before it can use the app, and the acknowledgement is recorded. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you need a parent or guardian’s permission.

If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 13, we remove it and delete the associated data.

3. How to report a concern

In the app. Every profile, table post, and comment carries a Report control. Reports go to a moderation queue and are read by a person. You describe the problem in your own words — there is no category to squeeze it into.

By email. For anything an in-app report does not cover — a direct message, someone you can no longer find in the app, or a report you would rather not file from your own account — write to privacy@fullboard.gg. That address is our designated point of contact for child safety matters.

If a child is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first. In the United States you can also report to the NCMEC CyberTipline at report.cybertip.org or 1-800-843-5678. Reporting to us is not a substitute for either.

4. What happens to a report

• Reports involving a child’s safety are the highest priority in the queue.
• We remove the content and suspend the accounts involved while we review.
• We preserve the relevant records rather than deleting them, so they stay available to authorities.
• Where we become aware of apparent child sexual abuse material, we report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) as required under 18 U.S.C. § 2258A, and cooperate with law enforcement.
• Accounts removed for CSAE are not reinstated.

5. What the app does to reduce risk

The controls that exist today, stated plainly:

• Direct messages are limited to mutual friends. A stranger cannot message you. This is the most important structural protection in the app.
• Blocking is immediate and private. It cuts contact at once, and the person blocked is never told.
• Public content passes an automated word filter before it posts. It is a backstop, not a substitute for review.
• Reports reach a person. Every report lands in a moderation queue reviewed by our administrator. Nothing is auto-dismissed.
• Profile photos can be removed by moderation as well as by their owner.
• Games are arranged at public game stores. The app has no mechanism for posting a private address as a venue.

What we do not run: automated image hash-matching against known CSAM databases, and age verification beyond the acknowledgement described above. We name those absences rather than implying protections we have not built.

6. For parents and guardians

FullBoard arranges in-person games at game stores. If your child uses it, the practical advice is the same as for any meetup app: know which store they are going to and when, and treat any request to meet somewhere else as a reason to stop. You can request removal of your child’s account and data at any time by writing to privacy@fullboard.gg, or delete it directly from the account deletion page.

7. Compliance

We comply with applicable child safety laws in the jurisdictions where FullBoard operates, and with Google Play’s Child Safety Standards policy. Our reporting obligations to NCMEC and to regional and national authorities are described in Section 4.
